American Express Connection Follow
The new American Express connection provided by our feed provider can be accessed via the Add A Credit Card workflow. Below are the steps needed to take to connect your Business-tier AMEX card or card program, to Tallie:
Step 1: Log in to your Tallie account and click on the Credit Cards tab, then click Add a Credit Card
Step 2: Next, choose I have a different type of card
Step 3: Select American Express; The login prompt may look like the following, appearing in a new window or tab.
Step 4: Follow the on-screen prompts to enter in your username and password.
Once completed, your new card connection should be visible on your Credit Card page.
Note: These new connections have strict security policies such that it is expected for the AMEX connection to disconnect every 90 days. Once they are disconnected, users will see an orange Fix-It button they can click on to re-connect the cards.
FAQs about this connection
If you're experiencing an Error: Bad Request (14020):
It is because a card within the card program, or the single card being connected, is inactive or cancelled, and/or the login credentials will need to be updated. Once the credentials have been update and there is an active card associated with them, please try the connection again.
How do I add a new AMEX card to the card profile?
If the card profile is a subaccount, it will need to be added via the FixIt button workflow. For assistance with adding a new card to the card profile, please file a ticket with Tallie Support and a member of our team will be able to assist you further.
What happens when the same card is connected twice?
If the same card is connected twice using the same login credentials, the card which was connected first will disconnect and auto-import from Tallie. If transactions are not coming through, we strongly recommend creating a Tallie Support request to assist with troubleshooting the existing connection rather than connecting the card again.
